Tips, Do's & Dont's

False lashes are an intimidating thing in the beauty world. They leave you with a super intense look and appear extremely difficult to put on AND pull off. But if you’re intrigued by the idea of false lashes, you may be considering giving them a go. Don’t psych yourself out of giving them a try! They might look bizarre to apply, but they will elevate your look tenfold. Plus, anyone can pull them off – as long as you’re following these crucial do’s and do not’s for wearing false lashes.

When cutting the lashes, NEVER cut the inside corner of the lashes. ALWAYS cut from the outside end.

Prep Your Lashes

Before the false ones go on, you’ve got to give your real lashes some TLC! Prep them as you normally would, with mascara and any other lash product you use.

Don't Put too much glue on Lashes

You only want to apply a thin layer of glue across the whole lash line – feel free to put a little extra in the corners, but don’t put that amount over the whole lash line. If you do this, the glue will smush and be visible on your eyelid. And that is not such a cute look.

Do wait for glue to dry

Never put lashes on right after you’ve applied glue! Wait for the glue to get tacky, but not so long that the glue isn’t sticky any more. About 30 seconds should do. Try giving the lashes a bend to make the application that much easier.

Do Put Lashes right along your lash line !

For this last step, you need to find a delicate balance. While you don’t want a strip of skin showing between your real lashes and your fake lashes you also don’t want to put your false lashes right on your real ones. Directly above your real lash line is the key!

To blend the two lashes, press them together and push them gently upward with your fingers to make the falsies look as real as possible.
